Shepherding Communities
CPC members are shepherded through Sunday worship services, Sunday School classes and City Groups. Another way church members are shepherded is through Shepherding Communities. Each church-member household is assigned to one of six Shepherding Communities based on zip code:
Each Shepherding Community will be served by a five-person team comprised of pastors, church staff members, active ruling elders, and deacons/diaconal team members. These teams will call you to check in on you (at least semi-annually in September and January), to pray with you, to care for you, and to be people who can point you to God’s Word when problems happen. You can also contact them for prayer, questions, and conversation. Each team can quickly mobilize to provide care when church members are in need or when hurricanes or other local disasters strike. In this spirit, the shepherding teams provide care for the entire congregation.
