Dr. Ligon Duncan:\nLigon Duncan is currently serving as President of RTS Jackson. Ligon was born in Greenville\, SC\, and reared in the home of an eighth generation Presbyterian ruling elder. A 1983 graduate of Furman University (B.A. History)\, he received the M.Div. and M.A. (Historical Theology) from Covenant Theological Seminary. He earned the Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh\, New College\, Scotland\, in 1995 (under the supervision of renowned Reformation and Patristics scholar\, David F. Wright). While in Scotland he also studied Systematic Theology at the Free Church of Scotland College (now Edinburgh Theological Seminary) with Professor Donald Macleod.

His topic for our time together will be “A Man Of The Word” Studies in Psalm 119. \nWe will begin with dinner on Friday\, February 7 and conclude after lunch on Saturday\, February 8. \nThe cost is $130. Scholarships are available. \nPlease contact BJ McDougal in the church office if you have questions. \n					\n									Retreat Registration\n					 \nAbout Our Speaker\nDr. Master served in pastoral ministry in several congregations in Maryland and Pennsylvania\, and subsequently as Dean and Professor of Theology at Cairn University near Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania. He has taught for numerous other institutions including Westminster Seminary (UK) and Edinburgh Theological Seminary. Dr. Master is the author and editor of books including A Question of Consensus: The Doctrine of Assurance After the Westminster Confession (Fortress Press\, 2015)\, The God We Worship (P&R\, 2016)\, On Reforming Worship (Covenant Publications\, 2018)\, Growing in Grace (Banner of Truth\, 2020)\, and Reformed Theology (P&R\, 2023). He contributes regularly to a variety of periodicals\, including Tabletalk Magazine. Dr. Master serves on the Executive Council of the Gospel Reformation Network\, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals\, where he hosts the “Theology on the Go” podcast for the Alliance with James Dolezal.

Scholarships are available. Please contact bmcdougal@cepc.org for more information on scholarships. \nAbout Our Speaker\, David Strain\nDr. David Strain was born in Glasgow\, Scotland. He holds degrees from Duncan Jordanstone College of Art\, Trinity College Glasgow/School of Divinity\, the Free Church of Scotland College in Edinburgh\, and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in the Free Church of Scotland in September 2003\, and has held pastoral charges in London\, England\, and Columbus\, MS. Since May 2013\, David has served on the pastoral staff of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson and was installed as Senior Minister in May 2014. He was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson) in 2016.
